Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern New Mexico has been hosting an annual Bowl For Kid's Sake event in Eddy County for the last five years. It is typically held at the Artesia Lanes in Artesia, NM.

Last year, the Artesia Community raised over $15,000 toward our Bowl for Kids’ Sake goal. Funds were used to directly support our Artesia Community and Lunch Buddies programs. With these funds we were able to make and support 22 new Artesia matches.
Because our mentoring program is offered free of charge to the families we serve in Eddy County, all of the funding to operate our programs comes from donations and fundraising efforts. These funds provide training for our volunteer Bigs, background and reference checks on our Bigs, match support and supervision by a degreed professional, and relationship building events for our Big/Little matches.
On the day of the event, Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a huge bowling party to celebrate the success of our fund-raising efforts and to thank all the sponsors and teams who contributed to the success of the event. We provide two hours of bowling. Donated prizes are awarded to the top fundraising team, and door prizes are given out throughout the event. Last year, nearly 200 people attended our Artesia event, and had a great time celebrating the positive impact they had on children’s lives.
