Success Stories: AMY AND SABRINA
RETURN TO MAIN STORIES PAGE

                                        The Story

I have been a big sister for about seven months. My experiences
in those seven months have been personally rewarding. I look forward
to my time with Sabrina. We have fun together. Whether it is sitting on
my couch watching movies shopping at the mall or just taking her to
lunch at a restaurant she has never been to. We have painted together
and I am starting to teach her how to crochet. She seems to enjoy
spending time with me also.
I remember what it was like being that age. It is a confusing
time and sometimes it is difficult to talk to family about issues at that
age. I was the oldest growing up. I did not have an older female I could
talk to or turn to. I had my mother, but at this age, it is hard to discuss
things that you are experiencing. I am glad that my little trusts me
enough to talk to me about issues that she is experiencing. I look for-
ward to seeing Sabrina grow up and I am proud to be a part of her life.
