Eddy County December Newsletter
Eddy County opened its doors in the Spring of 2007. It is has a site-based partnerships with Central Elementary School in which employees from Devon Energy and First American Bank act as "Lunch Buddies" to the elementary students. The Big Brothers and Big Sisters commit to one day a week where they spend the lunch hour with their Little. Artesia is currently building a relationship with Roselawn Elementary to begin a Lunch Buddies program there.
The results are awesome, Littles start having a better attitude toward school, grades improve, and they get along better with their peers. Any caring adult can be a Big...If you are interested in becoming a Lunch Buddy or a Community-Based Big Brother or Big Sister, call today!!
